Sean F. Lawrence was born on May 1, 1966, in Brooklyn, NY, to Lillie Pearl Dalton and Walter Dalton, who raised him with endless love and care. From a young age, he had a warm heart, a jovial spirit, and a smile that could brighten any room.
He graduated from Boys and Girls High School and went on to build a meaningful career as a Police Officer in the NYPD and retired in 2013 as a Detective, where his kindness, dedication, and integrity touched many lives.
Outside of work, Sean loved many things, including photography, cigars, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. Whether he was cooking for loved ones, traveling, or taking pictures, he always brought joy and love to those around him.
Above all, he cherished his family and friends deeply. His compassion, laughter, and strength will always be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Marvina Lawrence, his siblings: Walter Dalton Jr., Alicia Dalton, Bryant Dalton, Shirley Dalton, Aristede R. Dalton Sr., Alanna Dalton his children: Taynay Nesbit (Jermaine), Sabrina Alleyne (Denzel), and Shauna Lawrence, Godchildren: Cree, Gerard Jr., Jazmine, Christopher and Ashley, Grandchildren: Ayanna, Talil, Ava, Jermaine Jr., Andrew, Sean and Micah. He also leaves behind a host of loving relatives and friends.
His beautiful spirit will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Dalton, and his son Sean Hayes, and we take comfort in knowing that they have welcomed him with open arms. In recent years, Sean was able to connect with his biological father, Howard, and some siblings, Ricky, Janet, and Quentin. Though his loss leaves deep sorrow, we find peace in the beautiful memories he left behind.
