Robert "Bobby" Andrew Lee, 70, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 7th, 2024. Bobby was born on March 17th, 1954, in Mount Vernon Hospital, in Mount Vernon, NY, to Evelyn M. Darity (Burns) and Vernon F. Lee Sr.
Bobby had two siblings who preceded him in passing: Vernon F. Lee Jr. and David Darity III.
Bobby leaves to mourn his third brother, Ronald Morris.
During his formative years in Mount Vernon, Bobby's love for cars and dancing began to blossom. This passion only grew stronger when he moved to Queens, NY, at 11. He was known for his love of cars and his ability to tear up the dance floor. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious. He would go on to graduate from Springfield Gardens High School, leaving a trail of joy and laughter everywhere he went.
Bobby stayed in Queens until his early 40s, when he moved to Brewster, NY, to take a position with Green Chimneys, where he worked with children with special needs. Bobby retired from this employer after 25 years in 2022.
Bobby was a man of many talents. Besides his love for classic cars, specifically Mustangs, he had a knack for fixing everything, including vehicles. In addition, Bobby was passionate about music, dancing, singing, and writing. Often, Bobby could be found tearing up the dance floor with his patent spin move that transitioned into a full split (yes, he still did this at age 70), writing poems of love, and singing in his Eddie Kendricks falsetto.
Another love of Bobby's was caring for his family. He loved spending time with and supporting all family members. He was a fantastic son who cared for his mother to the very end and an exceptional uncle who helped raise over 16 nieces and nephews.
Bobby leaves to mourn one brother, Ronald Morris; five nieces and nephews, Darius Lee (Sheri), Malik Lee (Stephanie), Darnell Darity, Joy Wilson (Talon Sr.), and Da Vetta Price (Tyrone); 11 great-nieces and nephews, Ma'at Lee, Quinton and Lauren Lee, Kailyn and Noah Lee, Mila Darity, Trentley and Trettyn Price, and Leah, Vanessa, and Talon Jr. Wilson; and a
host of cousins.
