Olga M. Reyes

Olga Reyes, 77 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Newburgh, New York, on December 30, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Born on April 15, 1948, in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ramón and María Hernández.
Olga was a devoted wife to her husband, José Vicente Reyes, for fifty-three amazing years, filled with love and loyalty. They were married on September 16, 1972, in Port Chester, New York. She dedicated her life to her husband José and her sons Carmelo and Miguel. Her family was everything to her. She was a faithful and constant presence in all the lives she touched.
Olga was known for her amazing cooking; sharing food with everyone she encountered was her love language. She loved to have her home filled with family and friends. The house was always full of love, laughter, and food.
She demonstrated her love of Jesus Christ through her hospitality and service to others. A cherished member of the Church of God Central (Iglesia de Dios Central) on 60 Dubois Street in Newburgh, NY.
Matthew 25:35: "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in".
Olga is survived by her husband, José Vicente Reyes; eldest son, Carmelo Reyes and wife Sheila; son Miguel Reyes; granddaughter Laniyah; grandson, Elijah; and an endless number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews whom she loved and cherished greatly as her own.
Olga leaves behind six brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her mother, María V. Medina; father, Ramón A. Hernández; brother, Héctor Hernández; and brother, Armindo Hernández.
Olga will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, faith, laughter, and unwavering service.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Iglesia de Dios Central, located at 85 Dickson Street, Newburgh, NY.
