Newburgh New York
Nathaniel Jones, better known as Nate or Junior, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 25th, 2026. He departed this life peacefully.
Nathaniel was the son of Nathaniel Jones Sr. and Delores Jones; he was born in West Wood, NJ. They later moved to Spring Valley and then to Newburgh, to 25 Courtney Ave, and then to his current address in Newburgh, NY. Nathaniel graduated in June 1981 from NFA. He also served in the Army. He was a Private First Class in 1986.
Nathaniel, what the father says, Jones was a Deacon at Calvary Full Gospel Family Church. He was known for always asking Did you check with the Father first. Nathaniel was a man who loved the lord with his whole heart, his first love. Hallelujah!!!
For 25 years, Nathaniel worked at West Point, NY; he retired in late 2024 from MEDDAC. He was a material handler and shared the word of God every day. With the love of Jesus in his heart and a kind word on his lips, Jesus was sure to follow.
Most of his time with his wife Stacey was his joy; He loved her unconditionally they would do everything together. Sitting down by the water, feeding the ducks, and just enjoying each other’s company. They would read together and talk about God’s word and his plans for their life.
In his free time, he enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies. Godzilla was his favorite. Let’s not forget King Kong and Gamera, also childhood favorites that he still loved to watch. Nathaniel also enjoyed watching football and especially basketball with the family.
Deep-sea fishing with Brother Big and Percy and riding his motorcycle. He started is owe business after he retired; he was into scrapping, and he enjoyed taking it apart. It was something that he could do with his whole family.
He had a passion for being in the kitchen, and he shared that with his family. The memories of cooking side by side with his children will forever live on through his recipes.
Music was another joy of his. On the weekends and some late nights, the house was rocking with gospel, house, jazz, and some old school beats. Coming through those big speakers in the basement.
My two special cousins, Linda and Terry, just know the last argument; he said he won!!
This title will always be dads the Champion of Champions at the spade table. Given by your son. The champion lives on forever!!
