Rev. Theresa Green
To the family of "Mervin" Thompson - I send my sincerest condolences. I am glad that my girls (his nieces) are able to pay condolences in person. "Mervin" was always such a pleasure to be around. My prayers are with your family during this time. I know God will strengthen and comfort you in this midnight hour when you are alone and help you through the dark moments when you think you can't bear any more without him. When you feel your lowest you will find yourself smiling, because something he may have said or did in a moment like that made you laugh. He may be absent physically but he will always be in our hearts. Prayerfully sent, Rev. Terri Green (Forever his sister-in-law)

Uncle Marven, you will be greatly missed. Your love and presence has made such an impact on so many people. We take comfort in knowing that this life is not the end of the story. One day we will be reunited in heaven. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord... Love you, Terri, Chandrika & Tiffani Green

Mervin, (that's what I've called you all these years). Now I know it's Marven. 😆. It saddened me to hear of your passing. You were a great person who love live and people. Your kindness knew no bounds. You extended your love and generosity even to strangers. You will be missed but your memories will stay with us always. SIP my dear friend. I'm sending condolence to Angella and the rest of the family. We may not understand his untimely passing but God knows best. May we cherish the years we had with him. May Father God be with you all during this difficult time. Love, Judith Smith ( formerly from Poughkeepsie, NY now in Florida).

Uncle Marv, words are not enough to convey how deeply my heart is aching after hearing you were gone from us. Your absence/this void/this pain is unimaginable. You were the father I wish I had, you came into mine and my daughter's life over 30 years ago - how do I say goodbye to someone who loved everyone he met so unconditionally. Your heart was so big and so full of love - I hope you knew how much you were loved, how much you'll be missed and how the memories of you will forever live in the hearts of the people who's lives you had enriched with your presence. I love you uncle Marv, now and always! Your "Niece"/Marie - Auntie Angella/"He loved you - world without end - he was one of a kind"!
