Mark L. Henderson entered peacefully into rest at home on November 26, 2024, with his beloved daughter, Linda by his side.
He was born April 25, 1928, in Fishkill, NY, to the late William Henderson and Harriett Taylor. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mark enlisted in 1946 and completed his basic training at Bainbridge Naval Training Center in Maryland. He sailed aboard the USS Charles F. Adams (DDG-2) and USS Saratoga (CV-60), later serving two years in the Naval Reserves.
Mark worked at Triple R Industries in Milton, NY, for 39 years as a truck driver, eventually being promoted to office manager. In his free time, Mark enjoyed reading, traveling, and frequent visits to his favorite stores: Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Adams Fairacre looking for ways to still improve his home like a man half his age. He will be remembered for his humor,
personal accomplishments, strong opinions, whether they were politically correct or not, and love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda and Marsha Henderson of Newburgh, NY, and Cynthia
Henderson-Pearson of Houston, TX, and Meredith Henderson of Guilderland, NY. Harriett Watson of Norfolk, VA, Virginia Boyd (Robert) of Fayetteville, NC; sons, Thomas Whitted (Toi) of Hampton, VA, and Terry Whitted of Poughkeepsie, NY. He also leaves behind his sister, Valerie Jackson of Highland, NY; sisters-in-law, Mitty Chavers of South Windsor, CT,
