Lenwood Earl Williams was born on May 1, 1944, to the late James Henry Williams and Mary Elizabeth Williams in Rocky Mount, NC.
Delaval Dairy previously employed Lenwood in Poughkeepsie, NY until their closing. He then went to work for the School Transit System until he retired. Lenwood was very artistic and crafty with his hands. He loved working on bikes; particularly putting them together and making them from spare parts. He also loved making and putting together antique cars. Lenwood was a hobbyist and collector of antique model cars, remote-controlled cars, and other collectibles. He loved his family but was a very private person.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Williams,
Lenwood Williams Jr., Tanisha Williams, Anita Williams, and Yulonda Blake. Lenwood is also survived by his grandchildren, Raevon Collins, Shyquan Collins, Jasmine Green, Jalen Green, Tatyuanna Garrett, Scottiana Garrett, Da’Zay Williams, Zhane Williams, and Nyla Williams; great
-grandchildren, RaNiyah Collins, Raevon Collins Jr.,
Zayvon Collins, Shyasia Collins, Envy Collins, Zayvion Collins, Irael Diamond, Lanyx Diamond, Brian Atkins,
Reminisce Green, Royalty Green, Truth Green, Jayani
Rivera and Ta’Syi Diedrick; fiance’, Renee Stokes and a host of family and friends.
In addition to his parents, James Henry Williams and Mary Elizabeth Williams, he is preceded in death by his wife, Hollace Williams; grandson, Brian Atkins Jr. and great-grandson, Nature Green.
As our Father would always say “Don’t say Goodbye say see you later”
Goodbye means forever but I’ll
see you later.
He will be truly missed.
