On May 7, 2026, God in his infinite wisdom called home one of his precious gifts, Jessica Lazandra Smith. Jessica was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend whose beautiful spirit touched the lives of so many.

Jessica Lazandra Smith was born on March 15, 1973, in Newburgh, NY, to Leonard Smith and the late Yvonne Spell Smith. She was raised with love and strong family values and leaves behind cherished memories with her family, including sisters Regina Smith-Robinson, Clem Smith-Warren (Kevin Warren), Leslie Smith-Burch, Leoneila, Linda, and Clarisleidy Smith.

Jessica was the proud mother of six children: Leonard Smith, Tyler Williams, Autumn Williams, Camrinn Williams, Den’Zell Williams, and Zephion Williams. She also lovingly helped raise Amorion Williams and Jakari Williams. Jessica was a devoted grandmother to Kairo Williams and the soon-to-be Isaiah Smith. In addition, she leaves behind one nephew, three nieces, and one great-nephew who will forever treasure her love and guidance, and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Jessica attended the Newburgh Enlarged City School District and later attended Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. She grew up attending Best Temple Church of God in Christ (Newburgh, NY), where her faith in God continued to guide her throughout her life.

Jessica enjoyed singing in the choir (choir director), shopping, basketball, attending concerts, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was deeply family-oriented and always opened her heart and home to those she loved.

Jessica’s smile, strength, and loving personality will never be forgotten. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
