It is with the heaviest heart that we announce the tragic news that our adored son, caring brother, Ignatius nephew, compassionate grandson, and affectionate friend, Jahmari A. Birks (aka Mari)
unexpectedly and untimely passed away at home at the tender age of 22..
Jahmari was welcomed into this world at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie NY on April 25, 2002, and lit up the room every day after. As the first child for mother, Keisha Pusey, and father, Carlino Birks Jr, they knew instantly it would be a bond sealed with love..While growing up in NY, Jahmari always enjoyed playing with his many cousins and friends. He excelled in karate, baseball, and became fond
of fashion and music, creating personal lyrics for his songs. Jahmari was an adventurous soul that loved to travel and there was no trip he wouldn't be willing to make. In 2015 he later moved to Florida with his dad, never letting distance interfere with the love of spending time with family. He graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda FI (2020), attending technical school for Culinary Arts,
exploring different careers such as Amazon, Adam's, and Florida’s waste management.
Though he may have left this world prematurely, Jahmari has touched the lives and hearts of countless friends and family, a testament of his profound impact on those blessed to know him. May his light continue to shine through the love and memories he has left
us with.
Jahmari leaves behind an extensive list of friends and family left to mourn his absence, including his mother and stepfather, Keisha Hamilton of NY (Brian Hamilton), along with his 2 sisters Kaelyn and Ariyah, his father, Carlino Birks Jr of Florida, bereaved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever miss him. He was predeceased by his great-grandmother Enid Henry and grandmother Tammy Washington, twin sisters Brille and Briana, and his Uncle Chris McMillian.

Auntie Tammy
Neph as we approach this unfathomable moment I can honestly say I'm speechless😔 I miss your voice so much! All I keep hearing is "Alright Auntie Tammy" 🤦🏾♀️ all I keep feeling inside is WHY YOU BABYBOY WHY YOU!!! It's not fair it's not right 🤦🏾♀️ and while I know you with Mommy, Chris, and Gma Washington and a slew of others, I have to remind myself it's the inevitable but it doesn't make it any less painful!!! Damn Neph this hurts so bad!!! I wanted to just walk up to you and say wake up! I wanted to tell your parents he's just sleep but no I can't fix this 🤦🏾♀️ this hurts so bad! I just want to rewind time all the way to 1993 to make the pain stop. This is so not right 🤦🏾♀️ Babyboy, sleep in peace knowing we are here and will continue to show you have LIVED! I will hold your pops til' I'm blue... I love you babyboy and know Auntie Tammy will forever hold you as my own always! Love is ❤️
