One winter day, on February 1, 1942, a beautiful baby boy was born to the loving care of the late Pastor George Bullock Sr. and Sarah Sharpe Bullock in Wilson, North Carolina. They named him George Bullock. He was raised in Wilson, North Carolina along with his 11 siblings. George departed this life and received his heavenly reward on June 12, 2024.
At an early age George received Christ and was baptized. George received his education in the segregated school system in Wilson County, graduating from Speight High School in 1960. He worked as a school bus driver his last 2 years of HS, where he met his high school sweetheart, Madie Elizabeth Thompson. Shortly after graduating they married and relocated to Rockland County, New York and started a family. From that union were 4 adoring children. George worked tirelessly to support himself and his family. George was known as a jack of all trades. He worked as a carpenter, a landlord and was
employed at Fern Printing as a Driver/Delivery man and Spring Valley Water Company as an Inspector, where he retired at age 55 after many years of service. George was a loving, compassionate and caring man who devoted his life to his family who he loved dearly.
After George’s retirement from the water company he continued to work as a handyman. George could remodel and fix anything in your home as well as work on your car. He was also a friend and role model to many in the community. George was always the life of party. Over the years, he attended many reunions where he was affectionately known as “Georgie Boy” and “The Dancing Machine”. Needless to say, George loved to dance and took time to perfect his dance moves so he could strut his
stuff. He even learned the famous Cha Cha slide.
Christ was always the center of George life. As a child he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and later became a member of Congers United Methodist Church where he was known as Prophet Bullock. George worked tirelessly to obtain his credentials
as an Evangelist. You would often see George teaching the Gospel and spreading the good news wherever he went.
George worked hard, prayed hard and loved hard. He took great joy in sharing stories about his family and was very proud of his legacy; his 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Awaiting his heavenly arrival were his parents, his beloved wife Betty and 6 brothers, Willie Bullock Sr., Robert Lee Sharp, Marvin AJ Bullock, Billy Ray Bullock Sr., Eddie Gray Bullock and Curtis Lee Bullock. Best Friend/Brother of Love, Robert Ciarelli Sr. and his
lovely wife Ann Ciarelli. He is survived by 5 sisters, Virginia Austin (the late Hezekiah), Mary Harris (Johnny ) Bettye James (Ralph), Shirley Lacey (the late Frederick Sr. ) and Bernice Lofton (the late Jesse Lofton), 4 children, Sharon Carter of Hope Mills,
NC, Sharlene Bullock of New Windsor, NY, Geoffrey Bullock (Carine) of Greenacres, Florida and Sharman Deans (the late Ronald Sr.) of Spring Valley, NY, 5 step children who he gained from his union with his beloved Betty, 6 grandchildren, Ronald Deans Jr.
(Neverly), Shakia Bullock, Antoine Carter, Shanequa Spells, Isaiah Deans and Geoffrey Bullock II and 12 great-grandchildren. George has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and God children that he loved dearly and they loved him as well.

May the family, friends and well-wishers be comforted in this time of bereavement. Evangelist Bullock was a great help to The House of Prayer Church in Spring Valley, NY. He attended on the widow of our late founder, Bishop Barnes. He helped her as if she was his mother. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
