Obituary For Charrish L. Walker

Charrish Louisa Walker
January 18, 1962 – May 2, 2026

Charrish Louisa Walker, 64, of Newburgh, New York, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 18, 1962, in Newburgh, she was the cherished daughter of Dolores Walker and Simeon Stanley Walker II.

Charrish attended Wallkill Senior High School and dedicated much of her life to serving others. In her early twenties, she worked as a correction officer, demonstrating strength, integrity, and commitment. Later, in her thirties, she devoted her time and compassion to supporting at-risk and troubled youth at St. Cabrini’s Group Home, where she made a meaningful difference in many lives. Throughout the years, she also held positions with The Gap Warehouse, Staples Warehouse, Amazon Warehouse, and worked proudly as an Amazon delivery driver, always known for her determination and strong work ethic.

Above all, Charrish treasured her family. She leaves behind her loving sisters, Deidre Walker Puryer and Anita Walker; her brothers, Simeon Walker III and David Walker; her beloved children, Tiobhan Annice Edwards Addy and Jerome Francis Oaddams Jr.; her adored grandchildren, Allahuel, Aaliyah, Noah, and August; and her precious great-granddaughter, Masiyh'la. She was preceded in death by her parents, whose love and guidance remained with her throughout her life.

Charrish will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for family, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her strength, kindness, and selflessness touched countless lives. She found happiness in caring for others, sharing meals, enjoying music and dancing, and spending time with friends. Many of her most memorable moments took place when playing spades with family and friends. Her warmth and laughter created memories that will be cherished forever.

Her legacy of resilience, compassion, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rhodes Funeral Home, 18 Lake Street, Newburgh, New York. Family and friends are encouraged to wear white in her honor and remembrance.

May her memory forever be a blessing and a source of comfort to those who mourn her passing.
