At this time, it is with very heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Charles Richard Jackson. Charles passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at his home in Newburgh, New York. He was born in Robey, West Virginia. He is the son of Lenora and William Jackson Sr.
He is survived by siblings, Mattie Kidd, Anne Bell Hipps, and Donald Jackson.
His wife, Charlotte Castelonia-Jackson; daughter, Urena Bonitto-Alvarez and husband, Genaro Alvarez; grandson, Marcus Bonitto and granddaughter, Jacquelyn Alvarez; son, Travis Armstrong and wife, Stephanie Armstrong; granddaughters, Brittney Offutt, Eboni Armstrong and Carrie Armstrong and great-granddaughter, Bailey Offutt; step-daughter, Luciana Brown and husband, Arvell Brown; son-in-law, Kevin Hurst; grandchildren, Ciara Santiago, Janai Santiago, Larry Dunn, Ariana Brown, Tyana Allen, Keron Allen II and great-granddaughter Anais Mouzon.
Preceded in death by siblings Ruby Butler-Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, and Noah Jackson, and step-daughter Tanya Hurst.
