Bernard Brenton was born February 23, 1947 in Manchester, Jamaica and passed away on
Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Adira at Riverside Rehabilitation in Yonkers, New York.
Bernard arrived in the United States in the 70’s. He was a farmer, warehouse worker and
construction worker. He retired as a construction worker from Local Laborers 17 and
Connecticut Laborers.
Bernard was a devoted father. He loved to joke and have a good time, but always took
care of business. Bernard is survived by his daughter, Natasha (David) of Newburgh, NY; 3 brothers,
Wesley and Steve (Michelle) both of Newburgh, and Alexander of Jamaica; one sister, Emrel of Albany; grandsons, Na’Zeem (Giselle), Sa’Heed (Nelsey) and Na’Sah all of Newburgh; granddaughters, Sa’Myah and A’Miyah both of Newburgh; greatgrandchild, Na’Zeem Jr. of Newburgh, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bernard is predeceased by his mother Dulcie McLean and his father Ezra Smith
