OBITUARIES

Barbara Ann Valentin, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, in Wallkill, New York. She was born on July 4, 1958, in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Benito Valentin; her loving father, Albert Elrod; her sister, Modela Pryor; her cherished sons, Dwayne Lindsay and Benito Valentin; and her treasured daughter, LaRosa Valentin. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Julianna Elrod.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister whose love knew no bounds. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a remarkable way of making others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Her laughter, comforting words, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Though she is no longer with us, Barbara’s love and light will continue to shine through her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She was the heart of her family, a source of strength, and a wellspring of unconditional love.

She will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and eternally cherished.
