Isaiah Ware Jr. was born on May 17th, 1947 to Isaiah Sr and Annie Mae Ware in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was the 2nd of eight children. He died peacefully on August 27th, 2024 in the Veterans Hospital in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Isaiah, affectionately known as Joli, was educated in the public school system. In 1966 he was drafted to the United States Army where he honorably served and fought in the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge in 1968, Joli was awarded 3 medals for his service; The National Defense Services Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
In 1978 in Newburgh, NY Joli met Arlene Greene. They were married in 1982. From this union six children were born and raised, Latasha, Vanita, Taurean Sr., Omar Sr., Jaia, and Jana.
Joli was a kind man with a big heart who loved sports and music. He was well known for playing 2nd base in the softball league and was afforded many opportunities to travel and play in other states. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends. Joli also had a close and loving relationship with his nieces and nephews who saw him as a father figure. He was known for always wearing a crisp white t-shirt and fresh white sneakers.
Joli leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Latasha, Vanita (Elgin), Taurean Sr. (Sytyra), Omar Sr. (Tiffanie), Jaia, and Jana. 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 siblings Betty Jean Ware, Delores Johnson, Janice Jones, Joe Louis Ware, Orlando Maurice Ware, and Vanessa Ware-Allen. Joli was
preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Ware-Bradford. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss him dearly
