Heyward Wadell Tillman

Heyward Wadell Tillman was born in Richland, South Carolina. The
son of the late Moses Tillman Jr. and the late Dora Mae Tillman.
Heyward was the 2nd child of 6 siblings.

He departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on May 5, 2024.
Heyward graduated from Rantoul Township High School in the state of
Illinois. He began driving open road for North American Van line and
then moved to Newburgh, NY with his family and started working at
American Felt Company.

He later met Barbara Williams, they fell in love and were married on
August 17, 1985. He then went on to start his career as a Corrections
Officer and was still actively working at Fishkill Correctional Facility.
Heyward had a love for fishing, bowling and singing to his favorite
tunes at Karaoke.

Mr. Heyward Wadell Tillman leaves to mourn his passing; one son,
Heyward A. Tillman (from a previous marriage); brothers, Cliffton D.
Tillman of Tennessee, Kenneth L. Tillman of Washingtonville, NY and
Carl P. Tillman of Newburgh, NY; sisters, Cheryl (Eric) Williams of
Dumfries, VA and Sherrie M. Tillman of Newburgh, NY and a host of
loving nieces, cousins, relatives and friends, all who will deeply miss
him and cherish there memories together. He was preceded in death by
his father, Moses Tillman Jr and his mother, Dora Mae Tillman
