Audley Roy Thompson, affectionately known as “Tom,” passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born on December 8, 1943, in Portland, Jamaica, Audley was the beloved son of the late Esmay Thompson and the late Reginald Thompson. He attended Maidstone Primary and All Age School from grade 1 through grade 9.
In his early years, Audley worked in Kingston, Jamaica, as a security guard before migrating to New York, United States, in 1972 through the farm work program. His journey reflected his strong work ethic, resilience, and dedication to building a better life for his family.
Audley is survived by his three sons: Audley Thompson, Troy Thompson, and Channer Thompson; two cherished grandchildren, Amera Thompson and Dejeuner Thompson; and his siblings, Veronica Thompson, Delrose Thompson, Illeen Thompson, Ruel Thompson, and Daskell Thompson.
He was predeceased by his parents, Esmay and Reginald Thompson, and his brother, Mordicai Thompson. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
