DESCRIPTION:Nadine Faircloth was born in Poughkeepsie\, NY\, on January 15\, 1960 (The Original Martin Luther King Jr. Day) to the late Maso and Julia Faircloth. She peacefully passed and went to her heavenly home on June 19\, 2025 (Juneteenth). \nNadine was the nicest person you could meet\, the best friend you could ever have\, a caring aunt\, a supportive sister\, and a mother who had a lot of love to give. She loved R&B\, gospel\, country\, and smooth jazz music. \nNadine enjoyed being around family\, going for walks on the walkway\, the Dutchess Rail Trail\, and the trail at Pulaski Park. She also loved going to the movies\, traveling\, making delicious cakes\, and shopping. \nShe was a fun-loving woman who would help anyone in any way that she could. Often known as the quiet and soft-spoken one out of the seven Faircloth siblings\, her smile and laughter could light up a room. \nNadine worked at Fargo as a factory worker for several years\, then as a family care worker for 11 years. \nShe was a member of The Potter House Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Whitted Sr. During her time with the ministry\, Nadine served in The Food Pantry\, Sunday School\, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas ministry. \nShe was predeceased in death by her parents\, Maso and Julia Faircloth\, her brother\, Milton Faircloth\, and her sister\, Macy Wise. \nNadine leaves behind one loving daughter to cherish her memory\, Ashley Usher of Poughkeepsie\, NY; One sister\, Mary Whitted (Curtis) of Poughkeepsie\, NY; and three brothers: Bishop Max Faircloth (Pastor Ruth) of Milton\, NY\, Daniel Faircloth (Jeanette) of Poughkeepsie\, NY\, and Richard Faircloth of Marlboro\, NY. Also\, a host of nieces\, nephews\, relatives\, and friends.

SUMMARY:Geraldine Herring
DESCRIPTION:Geraldine Herring of Newburgh\, New York\, entered into eternal rest on July 2\, 2025\, at the age of 93. Born on June 14\, 1932\, in Clinton\, North Carolina\, Geraldine was the beloved daughter of the late Isham and Lula Herring. After her mother’s passing\, she was raised with care and devotion by her father and stepmother\, the late Eula Mae Herring. At age 7\, the family migrated to Morehead City\, North Carolina\, where Geraldine attended public schools in Carteret County. In 1953\, she permanently relocated to the NY area (Milton\, Marlboro\, Newburgh). \nAffectionately known as “Geri\,” she built a meaningful career and retired after 20 years with IBM in East Fishkill\, NY. Never one to slow down\, she went on to serve as a substitute teacher in the Newburgh Enlarged School District – a reflection of her tireless spirit and deep love for learning. Later in life\, she even pursued higher education\, earning a Bachelor of Theology from the Savona V. Roberts Christian Education Academy in Dutchess County\, New York\, and a degree from SUNY New Paltz. \nA devoted member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church since 1956\, Geri lived her faith actively and wholeheartedly. Her contributions to the church community included:\n• President of the Ladies’ Ushers\n• President of the Echo Chorale Ensemble\n• Sunday School Teacher\n• Baptist Youth Fellowship Supervisor\n• Secretary to Pastor George Smith\n• Organizer of many church and Pastoral Anniversary celebrations\n• Trustee Board Member (until her illness) \nShe leaves behind a host of loved ones who will cherish her memory\, including her devoted nieces Robyn Williams\, Cynthia Garnett\, Freida Stevens\, and Rochelle “Kay” Lane\, along with many other nieces\, nephews\, cousins\, several Godchildren\, one being Janea Hill\, and lifelong friends. Special acknowledgement is given to her dear friends Easter Parks\, Roy Agee\, Foster Pittman\, and a bonus niece\, Joy Pittman. \nGeri was preceded in death by her beloved daughter\, Valerie Herring\, and her Godson\, Gregory Williams. Geri was the last surviving sibling among ten children: Pearl Brewington\, Carl Herring\, Robert Herring Sr.\, Lonnie Herring\, Alphonzo Herring\, Mable Horton\, Fannie Dudley\, Ernestine Herring\, and Edward Herring. \nGeri’s vibrant spirit\, steadfast faith\, and unwavering generosity touched the lives of many. She will always be remembered for her impeccable style\, quick wit\, and feisty personality. Her presence will be deeply missed\, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We find comfort in knowing this is not goodbye\, but a heartfelt “see you again.” \nA special THANK YOU to all the nurses and aides who assisted with Aunt Geri at The Avalon\, Sapphire\, and Kaplan Hospice Residence House. We appreciate all your care\, support\, and consideration shown her.

DESCRIPTION:Victoria Gertrude Mae Deans entered the world on June 5\, 1950\, in Newburgh\, NY\, and her final moments were spent at the Kaplan House in Newburgh\, NY\, surrounded by her family. Victoria entered eternal rest on June 24\, 2025\, after a battle against cancer. She was a dedicated mother\, grandmother\, and a light in every room she entered. \nVickie\, as she was affectionately known\, had an unforgettable personality\, constantly leaving family and friends in laughter. She took pleasure in extending love and support to her family\, always ensuring that everyone was taken care of. Her journey on this earth was marked by love\, compassion\, family\, and an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who loved and cherished her. We ask that you continue to remember Vickie not by the sadness of her transition\, but by her everlasting love and support\, and the joy that she brought into the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. \nVictoria was predeceased by her parents\, Gertrude Mae Deans and Austin Deans\, her Aunt Bessy DuBois\, and her sister Wanda Marie Bell. Vickie was survived by her three children\, Denise Murphy\, Tamekia Deans\, and Douglas Lamb Jr.\, all of Newburgh\, NY. Significant other\, Charles Parker of Newburgh\, NY. Sisters: Bertha Deans of Newburgh\, NY\, Maryanna Deans of Citrus Springs\, Florida\, and Lorraine Burnett of Chickasaw\, Alabama. Eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren\, and a host of nieces and nephews. Life-long close friends Cassandra Lawrence\, Grace Clegg\, Anna McDonald\, Sue Lanier\, and Joanne Gillespie. \nThroughout Victoria’s life\, she maintained several jobs in the Human Services/Transportation field and enjoyed retirement after years of dedication. She was a devoted member of the Sisters of Esther Chapter #177 in Newburgh\, NY. Victoria had a beautiful\, infectious energy that will truly be missed. Vickie loved music\, quality time with family and friends\, great movies\, and creating memories with the ones she loved most.

SUMMARY:Johnnie Mott
DESCRIPTION:Johnnie L. Mott (known as Rico) was 87 years of age\, passed on Tuesday\, July 8\, 2025\, at Montefiore St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. A resident of Highland Falls\, NY. Mr. Johnnie was born August 28\, 1937\, in Wilmington\, North Carolina\, to the late Robert Mott and Flora M. Bannerman (Nelson). \nJohnnie proudly served his country in the Army for ten years\, including twenty-two years in the Army and Air Force National Guard and nineteen years as a New York State Trooper. Received an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He was an affectionate\, dedicated\, hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. His personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered\, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His other interests included travel\, oil painting\, and listening to smooth music. He was a long-standing member of the Fraternal Order of Police (lodge #188) and a Member of the Anthony Moscarella Post#199 / Spring Valley American Legion. \nJohnnie truly lived life through chatting with friends and family. Johnnie had an uncanny ability to reach people deeply and positively. He is survived by his longtime companion\, Mrs. Carmen I. Mott\, for seventeen years\, and is survived by two brothers\, James Mott and Ronald Davidson\, and three sisters\, Geneva Turner\, Elizabeth Mott\, and Joann Young. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children. Johnnie R. Mott Jr\, Shirley Mott\, Linda D. (Mott)Outlaw\, Wanda Weatherspoon\, Winona K. Mott\, and Dessera’e Mott\, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren\, and a host of nieces\, nephews\, and cousins. family\, friends\, and others. In addition\, Johnnie lost several brothers and sisters: Robert Mott Jr\, Jah B. Mataram\, Charles Holden\, Charles Mott\, Roberta Johnson\, Lethia Mott\, Emma Young\, Mary Mott\, and Thelma Paye. \nJohnnie will be remembered as an amazing family man. He was a loving husband\, father\, son\, brother\, and uncle.. His enthusiasm\, humor\, and integrity will be missed dearly by his family\, friends\, and colleagues alike.

DESCRIPTION:Karen Sue Johnson (Poochie)\, also known to many as KJ\, passed away peacefully on July 15\, 2025\, after battling a long illness. KJ touched many souls through her kindness\, happiness\, and loving demeanor. Her giving soul radiated to everyone she encountered\, whether it was lending a helping hand in her community\, offering friendship\, or simply being herself. Anyone who was in need\, she was there to help. \nThrough her membership with The Firemen’s Exempt\, she was there on the front line serving the community\, young and old\, with volunteering in feeding the needy\, assisting in summer programs for the local children\, back-to-school events\, donating to many programs where she felt she could make a difference\, and so much more. Anyone who knew her and encountered her felt her kind spirit. Through that infectious laugh\, whether you were happy or sad\, she would lift you. \nWhen she wasn’t working\, she enjoyed taking long walks and spending time with her family. In her teenage years\, she gave her life to Christ and became a member of Central Baptist Church. She retired from Anderson School of Autism in 2023 after 46 years of hardworking\, dedicated service. \nHer legacy will be left behind in those she loved. She is survived by her sons\, Lashon Johnson (Poughkeepsie\, NY) and Glen Berry Jr. (Brooklyn\, NY); granddaughters Skye Johnson (Newburgh\, NY)\, Snaja Johnson (Poughkeepsie\, NY)\, and Layla Johnson (Albany\, NY)\, and great-grandson\, Peyton Morman (Newburgh\, NY). \nAlso\, to continue her legacy are her brothers: Herbert Johnson Jr. (Poughkeepsie\, NY)\, Clarence Johnson (Poughkeepsie\, NY)\, and Lee Johnson (Pleasant Valley\, NY). Her sisters: Regina Johnson (Poughkeepsie\, NY)\, Brenda Johnson (Poughkeepsie\, NY)\, and Michelle Johnson (Atlanta\, GA). She has many nieces and nephews to carry on her giving spirit. \nShe was predeceased by her parents\, Herbert Johnson Sr. and Mary E. Johnson\, and brother Kevin Johnson. \nMs. Johnson will have a Gathering 11:00 am – 12:00 Noon\, Friday\, July 25\, 2025\, Central Baptist Church\, 26 Church Road.\, Salt Point\, NY. Service at Noon at the Church.
