SUMMARY:Ellaree Bligen
DESCRIPTION:Ellaree Juanita Bligen was born to Gloria Bligen and the late Clausell Coltson on February 6\, 1967\, in the Bronx\, New York. Ellaree\, a much-loved wife\, mother\, grandmother\, daughter and sister\, aunt\, cousin\, and friend\, passed away peacefully at her home on November 1\, 2024. She resided in Hyde Park\, NY\, but lived in Poughkeepsie\, NY for over twenty-seven years. Ellaree worked at Victory Lake\, Poughkeepsie\, NY as a CNA for many years. She also worked as a Lyft driver for 6 years and worked many other jobs during her lifetime. She bravely confronted and fought her illnesses for seven years. \nGrowing up in NYC was not always a good time for Ellaree. She had her struggles\, flaws\, and shortcomings\, and made her mistakes\, but she accepted them all. She had no regrets\, and she made it right with those she felt she should. Never ashamed\, she always told her story in hopes that others would not walk a path of negativity. She learned from her experiences and taught that there was always a better way. No matter whose feelings were hurt\, she was going to call it how she saw it. She accepted it when she was wrong and made amends. Ellaree was down to earth\, wise\, beautiful and she loved to dress “fresh to death.” She loved to shop; that was her thing spending money\, making sure herself\, her house and her car looked good. Don’t play with her. Even when it was her last\, she sacrificed it to ensure everyone was good\, even when she was not. \nEllaree was strong and held on to life for herself\, her children\, and her grandchildren. She loved them with all her heart and “made a way out of no way” to support them all. She loved and she loved hard. She was a best friend to others\, and she put her heart and soul into whatever she did. She enjoyed family get-togethers\, cook-outs\, spades\, holidays\, and any reason everyone could be together under one roof. Even when her health would not allow her to fully participate\, she was there\, laughing\, singing\, dancing\, and talking her talk. Her smile lit up the room\, her laughter lifted spirits\, and her energy was so radiant that she gave off a vibration everyone wanted to be a part of. She talked her talk even when it was about others! LOL! She “walked her walk” and for that\, she will always be a Queen. \nIn later years\, Ellaree loved going to church to learn more about the Lord. She ministered to those who were in need and was currently taking a course to become a deaconess at her church. Ellaree was on fire for the Lord\, and she had a passion for bringing youth into the church. Her goal was to evangelize and bring more souls to God. She spoke highly of Holy Light Pentecostal Church\, Poughkeepsie\, NY\, and loved her church family. Ellaree loved her Senior Pastor\, Apostle Debra E. Gause\, and she often spoke of how her guidance ministered to her and helped her to grow into the woman of God she had become. Apostle Gause was always praying for her\, lending a helping hand\, and she could call her anytime day or night. She had patience with her and was not only her Apostle but a true woman of God for Ellaree. \nEllaree is survived by her husband Ebenezer Peters; children\, Willie Wright\, Valarie Bligen\, Kevin Bligen\, Janet Bligen\, Janeen Bligen\, and Christopher Bligen; mother\, Gloria Bligen; siblings\, Vanessa Ashe (Wade) NC; Felicia Ellis\, NY; Clausell Colston (Dionne)\, SC; Corey Colston\, NY; Curtis Colston\, NY; grandchildren: Jahleq’ke\, Ariyah\, Leo\, Syriah\, Keira\, Noriek\, Kenyetta\, and Za’kai; several aunts and uncles; cousin Gretchen Johnson\, SC (Best Friend); Antoine Pierre\, NY; Thurston McGill\, NY and a host of nieces\, nephews\, family\, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Clausell Colston and brother Kevin Bligen. \n“She fought a good fight\, she kept the faith\, and she won the race!” Sleep on and take your rest and we are going to miss you!

SUMMARY:Michele D. Coleman
DESCRIPTION:Michele Desiree Coleman\, affectionately known as “Micki”\, was a generous\, strong\, adventurous woman\, devoted wife and mother\, loving sister\, cherished aunt\, special cousin\, and wonderful friend. She finished her earthly fight to begin rejoicing with the Lord on November 21\, 2024. She was born on August 12\, 1954\, in Mount Vernon\, New York to the late Bishop Kelly L. Basnight and Mother Carrie Norman Basnight. She was the third of 6 children and was raised in a home built on the love of God and the doctrine of Jesus Christ. \nFrom a young age\, she loved to praise and worship the Lord at her family’s church\, The Redeemed Church of Jesus Christ in Mount Vernon\, NY under her father’s leadership. She received the Holy Spirit at 13 years old and would go on to serve and worship the Lord for her entire life. Her strong faith in God would provide her with unsurmountable strength and determination throughout her various health battles. \nMichele graduated from Mount Vernon High School and the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. She served as Vice President of Human Resources at Xerox and held other significant positions at Loral Electronics\, the United Way\, and the American Red Cross. Micki married her forever love\, Lionel “Earl” on August 28\, 1980\, and were blessed with two beautiful daughters\, Kaici Linelle and Sharice Danielle. \nThe family relocated to Fishkill\, NY in 1989. They attended Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Beacon\, New York for 25 years under the leadership of Pastor Michael Dandridge. They would later rejoin the family church\, Redeemed Church of Jesus Christ\, under the leadership of Pastor Richard Garner\, and she served on the Trustee Board. \nShe loved serving her local community and you could find her volunteering weekly at the soup kitchen. She enjoyed her morning workouts at Gold’s Gym and would enjoy spending time with her “gym friends” even outside of the gym. \nFor her 60th birthday\, she conquered a major goal and hiked Mt. Beacon\, a memory she would always happily remember. She loved traveling and some of her favorite vacation trips were to the Bahamas\, Jamaica\, France\, and Italy. \nSpending time with her family was when Micki was the happiest. She always looked forward to the holidays and special occasions to spend quality time with her family. She was a gifted baker and cook\, and some of her specialties included brownies\, chocolate cake\, pepperoni bread\, and macaroni and cheese. She enjoyed singing\, playing Uno\, and Phase 10\, drinking specialty teas\, and her favorite pastime was cheering on her New York Yankees! She loved attending games in person and watching them on TV\, and when her eyesight began to fail her\, she would listen to the games. One of her favorite memories was meeting her all-time favorite Yankee\, Bernie Williams. \nMicki inspired countless people with her relentless faith in God and perseverance throughout her challenging medical battles. Even during the most difficult times\, she always had a word of encouragement to all who she encountered. She held fast to her faith and motivated everyone else to do the same. She never gave up on Christ and would never let you give up on Him either. \nShe is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years\, Lionel “Earl” of Fishkill NY; her daughters\, Kaici of Fishkill NY\, and Sharice of New Milford\, CT; siblings\, Norma (Brad) of Columbus\, OH\, Andrea of Wappingers Falls\, NY\, Rodger (Allison) of Sanford\, FL\, Mark (Lisa) of Travelers Rest\, SC\, and Lisa (Dexter) of Taylors\, SC; three cousins “brothers”\, George of Queens\, NY\, Richard of Mount Vernon\, NY\, and Phil of Advance\, NC. In addition to her parents\, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law\, Tom Hester\, and three special cousins\, Curtis Garner\, Celestine Garner\, and Maxine Funderbirk. \nMicki was an extraordinary woman who was cherished by those who knew her.
