As the eldest of four siblings\, Cheyenne was deeply admired by her siblings\, who looked up to her not only for her profound spiritual insight but also for her academic achievements. \nHer academic excellence and determination brought her national recognition as a winner of the Siemens Competition in Math\, Science & Technology. She was subsequently awarded a full scholarship from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation\, totaling over $1.2 million. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge\, Cheyenne attended Columbia University in New York City\, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016. \nCheyenne’s professional journey reflected her compassion\, leadership\, and dedication to serving others. She worked as a Manager/Hostess at La Savane d’Afrique in 2015. In 2019\, she served as a Lead Teacher at Brightside Academy\, where she nurtured and guided young learners. She later worked as an Administrative Assistant/Case Manager at Montefiore St. Luke’s in 2022\, supporting individuals with care and professionalism. Most recently\, Cheyenne held the position of Customer Service Specialist/Administrative Assistant at Access: Supports for Living in Newburgh\, where she continued to uplift and assist those she encountered. \nBeyond her professional accomplishments\, Cheyenne was a vibrant\, imaginative\, and deeply loving spirit. She had a passion for exploring new cuisines and experiences\, delighting in the richness of different cultures. She traveled throughout the United States and internationally\, visiting places such as Denmark and South Korea. Her creativity found expression through drawing\, singing\, and writing. Under the pen name “Luna Sol\,” she shared over 70 poems across social media platforms\, offering glimpses into her depth\, perspective\, and emotional honesty. \nCheyenne approached life with courage and authenticity. She did not strive for perfection but embraced her true self wholeheartedly. Her transparency\, sincerity\, and willingness to grow made her deeply relatable and beloved. Her strength was not defined by flawlessness\, but by her ability to love profoundly\, persevere through challenges\, and continue evolving. \nCheyenne lived intentionally and with purpose. She departed this life at the age of 32\, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to resonate for generations to come. Though her presence is deeply missed\, her spirit endures through the love she shared\, the faith she embodied\, and the countless lives she touched. \nShe is survived by her loving mother\, Tjuana Stewart; her father\, Stanley Hart; her brother\, Matthew Hart; and her sisters\, India Hart and Cherokee Kalstad. SUMMARY:Edna Culbreth

On July 2\, 1975\, she married her beloved husband\, Charles F. Culbreth. She took great pride in her service as a long-standing member of the Senior Usher Board\, welcoming her community with grace for decades. \nTo know Edna was to know a woman of quiet strength and simple joys. Whether she was cheering during a basketball game\, finding peace in the words of the Serenity Prayer\, or patiently assembling a 500-piece puzzle\, she approached life with focus and warmth. Above all else\, her greatest passion was the unwavering love she held for her family. \nEdna’s legacy continues through her children\, Michael Tatum (Loretta) and Mary McDonald; her sons-in-law\, Leonard Lee (husband of the late Diane Lee) and Keith Scott (husband of the late Donna Tatum); her grandchildren\, Rodney McLean\, Darius Lee\, Michael Tatum\, LeeOndrea Lee\, Toya Tatum\, and Crystal Tatum; and a host of beloved great-grandchildren\, nieces\, and nephews. \nShe was preceded in death by her parents\, Bessie Mae Tatum and Ellis Gray Williams; her husband\, Charles F. Culbreth; her sister\, Alberta Robinson; and her daughters\, Diane Lee and Donna Tatum. \nFlowers and expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to Ebenezer Baptist Church in honor of Edna’s long-standing devotion to her church home. \nThe Serenity Prayer God\, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change\, courage to change the things I can\, and wisdom to know the difference.

SUMMARY:Saul Hooks
DESCRIPTION:Saul Hooks was born Saul Edward Hooks on December 2\, 1932\, in Cobb\, Ga. He was one of eleven children born to Bertha & Willie Hooks. He later moved to Savannah\, GA\, to finish school\, where he received his diploma from Alfred E. Beach High School. After completing his education\, he worked at a beer company and decided he wanted to go into the military. \nAfter joining the United States Air Force\, he was stationed in the Philippines\, Korea\, Japan\, and various other countries and states. While on leave\, he returned to Cobb\, Ga to visit family when he met Geraldine Harmon. Saul and Geraldine later married and traveled the world together. In 1972\, they welcomed a daughter\, Belinda. Towards the end of his military career\, he was granted his request to be stationed at Stewart Air Force Base\, where he retired after 20 years and called Newburgh\, NY\, his home. If he happened to meet someone and they mentioned they were in the military\, his face would light up\, and he’d immediately ask where they were stationed. \nOnce retired from the military\, he began working at Castle Point Veterans Hospital as a dietician. After over 20 years at the VA\, he retired. Saul enjoyed doing yard work\, cleaning his various cars\, and going out to eat at Red Lobster and Golden Corral. He loved staying up late watching television and sleeping until 2 pm; he totally enjoyed being retired. The excitement of his week was watching wrestling on Monday & Friday nights and watching Judge Judy. If anyone asked what to get him as a gift\, a Red Lobster gift card always made him smile. \nSaul leaves behind a daughter\, Belinda Hooks of Newburgh\, Ny(Newburgh)\, a sister Lula Belle Hanshaw (Renzy)\, nieces Mary Dean Taylor of Ashburn\, Ga\, Gwen Floyd (Carlton) of Newburgh\, Ny\, Renee Hooks of Frederick\, Md Thelma Middleton of Charleston\, Sc\, nephews Taylor Hooks (Angela) of Marietta\, Ga Timothy Taylor (Charleston\, Sc)\, William Taylor of (Atlanta\, Ga)\, Daryl Hooks (Nawassa) of Albuquerque\, Nm Mexico and sister-in-law Sandra Harmon Igbinovia of Lithonia\, GA.
