DESCRIPTION:Neil David Johnson Jr. entered into eternal rest on July 19\, 2025. \nHe was born on May 1\, 2001\, at Northern Dutchess Hospital and grew up in Hyde Park\, N.Y. Neil was adored and loved by his family and admired and respected by many. He was known for his deep thinking\, individualistic mind\, and thirst for knowledge\, which he loved to share with others. He challenged people’s ideas and conventional thinking. He was a man of integrity and had a strong work ethic. Neil attended Hyde Park schools and was a proud 2019 graduate of FDR High School. His interests included a deep love for physical fitness and Japanese culture; he was self-taught in the language. Other passions of his included music\, editing\, MMA\, golf\, and drawing. \nHe is survived by his mother\, Ethella Johnson; his father\, Neil Johnson Sr.; and his stepmother\, Tove Johnson; his grandmother\, Jewel (Johnson) Caquias\, as well as his three cherished sisters\, Alexis\, Hannah\, and Madisen\, and many other family members.

DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory of Aneita Gwendolyn Cox (“Ms. Puncy”) \nAneita Gwendolyn Cox\, affectionately known as “Ms. Puncy\,” passed away peacefully on July 9\, 2025\, in Newburgh\, New York\, at the age of 79. Born on April 4\, 1946\, in Seaforth\, St. Thomas\, Jamaica\, she was the beloved daughter of the late Constantine Davis and Roslyn Henry. \nThe second youngest of nine children\, Aneita was raised on Lavar Lane in Seaforth before moving to Stewart Field during her teenage years. She attended Seaforth Primary School and proudly graduated at age 16. Shortly after\, she met the love of her life\, Abraham Cox\, with whom she built a beautiful family. \nA devoted wife\, loving mother\, and nurturing grandmother\, Aneita leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength. She is survived by her children: Fenton “Toney” Cox\, Walford “Glen”\nCox\, Everald “Desmond” Cox\, and Shirlette Smith; her cherished grandchildren: Shaun\, Zico\, Tashae\, Anthony\, Shanae\, Toniakay\, and Crishanae; and her adored great-grandchildren: Hannah and Jeremiah. Her family was the center of her world\, and she poured love into each of their lives. \nAneita is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: John Henry\, Kenneth Henry\, Nathlin Cushnie\, Moses Cargill\, Naomi Cargill\, and Hyacinth Cargill. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings\, Cardella Henry and Ernest Aphanso Bennett\, her daughters-in-law\, and son-in-law\, Deloris Cox\, Carol Cox\, and Elaine Mcsam Cox\, and son-in-law Christopher Smith\, along with nieces and nephews. \nAneita found joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending to her garden\, caring for her chickens\, sewing\, and sharing long\, laughter-filled conversations with her sisters\, Cherry and Seeni. Her\nhands were skilled\, her heart was kind\, and her spirit was unshakably devoted to her faith. A lifelong Christian\, she worshipped with unwavering dedication\, praising the Lord every day of the week\, right up to her final moments. \nHer warmth\, generosity\, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She selflessly cared for others\, including her stepfather\, Cephas\, and her neighbor\, Percy\, and always had a warm meal ready for anyone in need. Respected and loved by her community\, Aneita was a beacon of kindness and grace. \nShe leaves behind a legacy of love\, faith\, and compassion. Aneita will be deeply missed by her children\, grandchildren\, great-grandchildren\, extended family\, and many dear friends. \nMay her soul rest in eternal peace.

DESCRIPTION:Marion Jefferies Smith entered into rest on Friday\, August 08\, 2025. She was born in Newburgh\, New York\, on July 23\, 1933\, to the late Jessie Authur Jefferies and the late Sarah Phelps Jefferies. \nMarion was a highly dedicated family life member of the Washington Street A.M.E. Zion\, at 111 Washington Street\, Newburgh\, New York. She was an avid member of the Senior Choir and other Church Choirs. She also read the Sunday morning Church announcements every Sunday for years. She ensured her children attended Sunday school\, the 11:00 church service\, and we sang in the Junior Choir each and every Sunday. She also worked on the Church’s Missionary board. \nShe started working as a Nurse’s Aid at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Neonatal Unit. Then she worked as a Bookkeeper for the Newburgh Community Action Committee (NCAC) under the direction of the Late Rev. Frank E. Jones. Her duties included administering salaries\, obtaining and writing grant requests for government funds\, and executing necessary audits for 30 years. \nMarion was the loving wife of the late William Franklin Smith\, Jr.\, and they were blessed with 67 years of marriage. Their union proudly produced 4 children: William Franklin Smith\, III. (Gloria Jean) of Raleigh\, North Carolina; Queen Smith\, of Springfield\, Mass.; Michael Keith Smith (Patricia) of Springfield\, Mass.; and Alycia Michelle Clark (Charles) of New Windsor\, New York. \nShe was the very proud Grandmother of 12 grandchildren\, Linette Y. Knight (Victor)\, Lon Michael Smith (Clareesa)\, Kimbu Smith\, LordI Smith\, Precious Queen Smith\, Queen Nile King (Shawn)\, Morrel Smith\, Erica Smith-Elder (John)\, Nathan Smith\, (the Late Ashia)\, Tyneisha Clark\, Teraneiasha Clark\, and Charles E. Clark III.14 great grandchildren Shawn\, Meahje\, Kimbu Jr.\, the Late Karmari\, LordI\, Markus\, Sky\, Illaya\, Naomi\, Priscilla\, Makayla\, Zaiden\, Junior and Tyron. \nMarion was everyone’s Grandmother\, and the Auntie\, the Great-Auntie\, and the Great-Great-Auntie to many nieces and nephews\, as well as a host of cousins. \nSpecial relatives and Friends are Phyllis Woodard and (Charles Deceased)\, Dr. Robert and Isobel Murray\, (Fitzhugh and Delores Kennedy Deceased)\, Harold Kennedy\, Jamie Kennedy\, Scott and Paula Burr\, Alan and Robin Judd\, and Timothy and Marta Newkirk. \nShe was predeceased by her brother\, the Late Dr. Jessie A. Jefferies\, Jr.\, her Late Sisters Loretta Roberts\, Sarah Henley\, and Nana Mae Jefferies.

DESCRIPTION:Glorious Louise Clemmons Reed\n“Gloria” “Glo”\n11-27-1954 – 08-14-2025 \nIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Glorious Louise Clemmons Reed\, who departed this life on August 14\, 2025\, in Poughkeepsie at the age of 70 years old. \nGlorious was born on November 27\, 1954\, in Elizabethtown\, North Carolina\, to Louise Wilson and Paul Clemmons. She grew up in both Elizabethtown and Poughkeepsie\, where she developed a love for caring for others. Glorious was a Certified Nursing Assistant and later pursued a career in private CNA work. She also worked at Unlimited Care for several years before retiring. \nOutside of work\, Glorious enjoyed road trips\, cooking\, going to the casino\, card games\, and spending time with family. She loved telling stories and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glorious was a true goddess and warrior. She handled hardships and pain with grace and positivity. She would give the clothes off her back to someone in need. She will be remembered for her sense of humor\, generosity\, resilience\, strength\, love\, kindness\, and wisdom\, and she leaves behind a legacy of spreading genuine love from the heart. \nGlorious is survived by her daughter\, Lechan Reed-Richardson; granddaughter\, Alishea Dixon; grandsons\, Niseem Whitted and Mich’Kye Nicholas; great-grandchildren\, Ne’Viyah Davis\, My’Jae Davis\, Karter Whitted\, Na’Jir Whitted\, Ny’Ori Whitted\, Niseem Whitted Jr\, Na’Daliah Whitted\, and Ny’King Whitted; and a host of aunts\, uncles\, nieces\, and nephews. \nShe was preceded in death by both parents\, Louise and Paul Clemmons; daughter\, Lakeisha Reed-Williams; grandson\, Shaheed James; and three sisters\, Paulette\, Diane\, and Shirley Clemmons. \nGloria will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory of Myrtle Elaine Shell\nMyrtle\, aka (Laine) Taylor\, Shell\, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie\, NY\, entered eternal rest on August 19\, 2025\, in her home with her family\, after battling an extended illness. She fought a good fight; she finished her course. \nMyrtle was born on December 24\, 1941\, to the Late Fred G Taylor Sr and Myrtle Green Taylor. She was the 6th of 11 children. \nMom was educated in the PCSD. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1959. After high school\, she completed the LPN nursing program at Saint Francis\, where she was then employed for the next 38 years\, until her retirement in 2007. Mom held a strong work ethic and provided quality care to each patient. \nMom was united in marriage in 1960 to the late Harold J. Shell Sr. From their union came their three children: Curtis Shell Sr.\, Harold J. Shell Jr.\, and Janice E. Shell. Mom was widowed early\, but with love\, strength\, hard work\, and the support of her family\, she was able to raise us. \nMom was a woman of great strength\, integrity\, and loyalty wrapped in love. She enjoyed knitting\, ceramics\, and shopping. She also took pleasure in taking leisure rides and going to the casino. She enjoyed watching Lifetime movies and listening to music from her past. She liked good food and good conversation\, at the end of which she frequently closed with the statement “peace out.” \nMom received Christ Jesus as her personal Savior and Lord in 2004 at the Beulah Baptist Church\, where she was baptized and became an active member\, until her health declined. She attended weekly Bible study classes and became part of the prayer ministry in the church and the community. She loved studying the Word of GOD and fellowship. \nLeft to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy are her children\, Curtis Shell Sr\, Harold J Shell Jr (Tonia)\, and Janice E Shell. Grandchildren\, Curtis Shell Jr\, Antione Shell\, Robyn Shell. Great-grandson Curtis King-Ibrahim Shell. Siblings Frank Taylor Sr\, Patricia (Larry) Broadhead\, Pauline Taylor Murphy\, along with a host of nieces\, nephews\, cousins\, friends\, and her Beulah Baptist Church family. \nMyrtle was predeceased by her siblings\, Carita Taylor\, Janice Taylor\, Fred Taylor Jr\, Eugene (Tito) Taylor\, Donald (Bill Bill) Taylor\, Charles (Huss) Smith\, Geraldine (Deannie) Taylor Johnson\, and Donna Taylor Wheatley. Grandchildren: Shequila Zhane Brown\, Jamir Prince Cortez Shell. \nMom is now absent from the body and present with her Lord. Our beloved Lynette Crystal “Christy” Clark-Mosley was born on May 19\, 1960\, to Carolyn Bernetha Clark and the late James Earl Clark in New York City\, NY. Shortly after her birth\, the family relocated to the Bronx\, New York. \nLynette received her early education in the New York City Public School System. She attended Public School 65 and Junior High School 161\, where she was a student in the Talented and Gifted program. She attended Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx\, New York. In addition\, Lynette earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and was pursuing her Master of Science in Psychology through the University of Phoenix. \nAfter high school\, while living in New York City\, Lynette met and married Leland Mosley. The couple had a daughter\, Nicole\, and three sons: Kristopher\, Mitchell\, and Julian. They made their home in the Bronx\, New York. After a few years\, Lynette relocated to Camden\, New Jersey. \nLynette lived in Springfield\, Massachusetts\, for several years. She held managerial positions at Ocean State Job Lot in Chicopee\, Massachusetts. Lynette also held clerical positions at Michaels Department Store in Newburgh\, New York. \nIn her later years\, Lynette faced several health-related issues\, which resulted in her demise. \nLynette was preceded in death by her infant daughter\, Nicole Monique Mosley; father\, James Earl Clark; grandmother\, Mother Lillian White; sister\, Andrea Sherelle Clark; and God-Sister\, Helene Renée Badger. \nLeft to cherish memories of Lynette are her beloved mother\, Carolyn Clark; three handsome sons: Kristopher Lee Mosley (State College\, PA)\, Mitchell Ean Mosley (New Windsor\, NY)\, Julian Keith Mosley (Harrisburg\, PA); two handsome grandsons: Kristopher\, Jr.\, and Kadyn Mosley (State College\, PA); one granddaughter: Ja’Nay Mosley (Far Rockaway\, NY); Uncle “Dee” James Wilson and James\, Jr. (Newburgh\, NY); good friends Tremalendis James and Michelle Macafity Lane; and a host of nieces\, nephews\, cousins\, and friends. \nFriends and family are invited to a memorial service on August 30\, 2025\, at Mt.
